Same thing used to happen with many print newspapers / tabloids / magazines to. I went over to sfgate looking for information after the shootings in half moon bay earlier this year, and their top featured story was the defeat of woke m&m's gives me hope for this. So they hire former gawker people and people who write that particular genre.

What happened to the comment section on sfgate.com? Nothing seems local los angeles, tahoe, disneyland, hawaii. Provocative, energetic and unapologetic, the gate is in.
The only columns that will stay on sfgate.com are from sports and arts & entertainment.
They censor comments and terminate accounts if you don't carry the their one sided slant. I used to enjoy reading them and now none of the articles have comments?!?! Since when are these areas considered the bay area? Seems to me their staff should be, i dunno.
