I was running kubectl command to deploy my application in the gcloud. I want to fix version difference between client (1.21) and server (1.24). Kubectl version but that only shows the kubectl version and not the kubelet or apiserver version.

The connection to the server localhost:8080 was refused did you specify the right. So version for server shall be decreased. What other commands can i use to identify the properties of my cluster?
1 i've read that kubectl is the client version and that the kubernetes api server of the kubernetes cluster is the server version.but i still don't really understand this.

But suddenly the kubectl command stopped working. ⚠️ /usr/local/bin/kubectl is version 1.19.0, and is incompatible with kubernetes 1.16.2. You will need to update /usr/local/bin/kubectl or use 'minikube kubectl' to connect with this cluster I was setting up my new mac for my eks environment.
